Service Policies and Terms

Repair payments, cancellations, and refunds.

Review the key payment and service conditions for watch repairs, including diagnostic fees, repair estimates, replacement components, cancellation requests, and changes to service arrangements before authorizing work on your timepiece.

Before authorizing a repair

Review the proposed repair estimate, diagnostic charges, replacement component costs, expected service timeline, payment requirements, and any applicable service conditions before approving work. Confirm which procedures are included in the estimate and whether additional repairs or parts may require separate authorization. Ask for clarification of any terms that are unclear, and retain a copy of the approved estimate, service documentation, and payment records for reference.

Cancellation and service notice requirements

  1. Watch repair requests should clearly establish how a cancellation must be submitted, whether diagnostic work has already begun, and which charges may apply before the service is stopped.
  2. Cancelling an authorized repair after inspection, disassembly, parts ordering, or repair work has started may be subject to applicable service conditions and charges for work already completed or components already acquired.
  3. Diagnostic assessments, battery replacements, movement servicing, and repairs requiring special-order components may have different cancellation, rescheduling, and payment conditions. Review the terms that apply to your specific service.

Changes to an approved repair

If you need to change the requested service, add another repair, postpone an assessment, or revise the work planned for your timepiece, contact Maison de Temps to discuss the request. Any change may depend on the watch's condition, component availability, work already completed, and confirmation of revised costs or timelines. Do not assume that a requested modification has been accepted until it has been confirmed.

Diagnostic fees and repair payments

The service terms should identify any diagnostic or inspection fee, the payment due dates, accepted payment methods, and the conditions governing charges for completed work. Repair labor, replacement components, and additional procedures should be reviewed separately where applicable so that the expected total cost is clear. Ask how outstanding balances, payment discrepancies, or changes to an approved estimate are handled.

Refund eligibility and review

Refund eligibility depends on the applicable service agreement, the type of payment, the stage of the repair, whether work has already been performed, and any relevant cancellation provisions. A refund is not automatic simply because a repair request changes or a service is cancelled. Submit the relevant transaction details and the reason for your request through the appropriate contact channel so the circumstances can be reviewed against the agreed terms.

Additional charges and billing questions

Depending on the repair, additional charges may relate to diagnostic procedures, replacement parts, specialist movement work, restoration of damaged components, or other services approved during the assessment. Ask for an explanation of any charge you do not recognize and retain relevant estimates, invoices, receipts, and written correspondence. Any billing dispute should identify the amount in question, the associated repair service, and the reason clarification is requested.

Contact regarding service terms

Use the contact page to ask about repair estimates, diagnostic fees, payment arrangements, cancellation conditions, or refund requests. Include relevant service or transaction details where appropriate, but avoid sending unnecessary confidential financial information. The terms confirmed for your specific repair take precedence over general website descriptions where they address the same matter.
